Name: Design Harvest
Date: October 13, 2018 - October 14, 2018
Event Description:
Design Harvest began in 2010 on Grand Avenue in West Town’s Grand Avenue Design District. Design Harvest was an outdoor special event showcasing the best in local home and garden design. The event featured hay bale seating, food and drink. and live country and Americana music booked by Lawrence Peters from The Hideout concluding with a big square dance in the street.

Over the years the event transformed, re-branded to Grand Art & Design Festival, and expanded it's offerings to include more local designers, artisans and crafters, handmade goods, jewelry designers, food trucks and more.  However, showcasing home furnishings, upholstered items, rugs and valuable art objects at an outdoor event in tents, battling the wind, weather and elements was always problematic.

So we have come up with a solution!

Now the original Design Harvest concept is returning to a new INDOOR / OUTDOOR location, showcasing local home and garden design vendor vignettes indoors at the Superior Street Center for the Arts at 2744 W. Superior Street, and also spilling out into their east parking lot and onto Superior Street at California Avenue for more local art, design and craft vendors, corporate sponsors, local restaurants and food trucks. West Town home and garden retailers and designers will be on showcase including retailers from the Grand Avenue Design District.

Fall festival fun, beer, wine, outdoor hay bale seating, and live country music will continue to be a highlight at Design Harvest with the 2018 live music line up curated by Lawrence Peters that will again feature nationally known Americana, bluegrass and country headliners.
