Chicago Center for Music Education

About Us

At ChiME we believe that everyone should have a chance to participate in engaging and meaningful music programs, regardless of their age, economic status, ability level, or accommodation needs. Our programs help students develop musical and life skills through fun, engaging, and inclusive music-making activities. We offer programs for all ages: early childhood music classes, private instrument lessons, music therapy, ensembles, and programs for partner schools and organizations. We aim to remove participation barriers by offering tuition assistance to families and partner schools and a wide range of therapeutic accommodations for diverse learners and students with disabilities. Students in our programs have opportunities to tap into their creativity, express themselves musically, be part of an inclusive community, and reach their true potential.
